Breitenau Memorial is looking for pictures, letters, postcards, diaries, official letters and objects that have a connection to Breitenau and allow for the history of the place to become tangible. Were family members employed or accommodated in the institution? Does your basement or attic contain photos or postcards of the institution in a previous form? Perhaps you’ve been able to preserve letters from prison, diary entries, photographs of employees, everyday objects such as blankets with inscriptions or photos of foreign workers who were forcibly employed in businesses and households in and around Guxhagen. Even if you are unsure of the origin and significance of an object or document, we will gladly accompany you along your search for answers.
