YOUNG PEOPLE remember on site

About the project

Young PEOPLE remembers on site is a funding line from the YOUNG PEOPLE remembers programme and is aimed at memorial sites and history initiatives at historical sites with a view to their new or further development and the practical application of innovative analogue, digital and audiovisual mediation formats for young people. The aim is to involve young people in the planning and implementation of remembrance cultural projects. The focus is on the critical confrontations with the National Socialist era, its crimes and its pre- and post-history. The funding programme is financed by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM).

What is all about?

Together we expand and develop digital content for the 360° tour. Feel free to take a look here: Breitenau Memorial VR Tour Within six fixed workshops, we will discover the site of today's memorial together and develop ideas together on how the site can be told digitally. In small groups, you will deal with people and life stories of people who were persecuted, humiliated and murdered in Breitenau during the Nazi era. Together you will develop your own idea of how you want to tell the story of others for others. Whether with videos, audio recordings, image galleries or whatever else you can think of, there are hardly any limits to your creativity in the implementation. Of course, you will get the support you need throughout the process.

Whether it's questions about the technical implementation, the history of the place or the history of the people themselves, we are always there for you and support you with everything you need.
